I had a beautiful blue Mustang. Followed the severe duty preventive maintenance plan out of an abundance of caution. Thermostat housing cracked, stuck on a hill, in construction, no shoulder. Ended up cracking the damn block trying to get out of people's way. I had a kind of shitty silver Sonata. Kept it on the severe duty plan. It just shit the bed on me with ~130K miles. Getting old fast.

I think some cars are just jinx’d - we had an 01' civic (known for reliability, right?) that had all sorts of issues and we ended up getting rid of it.

Toyotas suck. Get a Honda. Our Camry the bottom of the engine let go 1 month after the warranty expired. Those schmucks at Toyota did nothing for us. They’re the lowest of scum.

What year was your Camry? The 92-96 version is the best car ever made, although I heard the new ones aren’t as good.

There was also a design flaw with the harmonic balancer that led to a redesign for replacement units but no recall or warranty extension..
